Ferragosto

ferragosto1

Ferragosto is an  ancient Roman festival that dates back to 18 B.C.
when the gathering was created in honor of the emperor, Caesar Augustus.

In the Arthur Ave neighborhood of the Bronx, generations of family-owned businesses continue to thrive and draw people in from all over with their small-town charm, family atmosphere and preservation of Italian culture. In addition to thousands of visitors each year, Ferragosto increasingly draws many young professionals from the Bronx, Manhattan and the entire tri-state area that want to experience Italian culture and all of the fun, food and music that Ferragosto has to offer.

Ferragosto is a great opportunity for people to experience the Arthur Ave neighborhood’s old-world charm and tradition of great food and other Italian specialties, including our fine restaurants, hand-made and imported Italian products and so much more.

Come by and visit us at our tent on the corner of Arthur Ave and 187th St!
We have an assortment of special scarves, hats, shirts, and more, celebrating Ferragosto.
